The Kirby dress is an easy to wear slip dress in a minimalist figure forming silhouette. Cap sleeves delicately cover the shoulders with a conservative neckline. Darts are added at the bust to help create its shape. A diagonal seam runs at the front and back of the dress from the hips. Closes with a keyhole, loop and button.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Hi there! I looove this dress and am planning on purchasing but I can’t decide which size to go for! I’m usually a 10 on top and a 12 on bottom and want the dress to be form fitting but not too tight if that makes sense? Wondering if you think I should go for the size 10 or 12? Thanks so much! :)

Thank you so much for your kind words. We're so glad you love this piece. If you are in between sizes, we would recommend sizing up. The dress is cut on the bias, so still provides a close to body fit without feeling too tight. Hope this helps.

  • Hey, really wanting to invest in this gorgeous piece but would like to inquire about the fit of this cut. I’m 165cm tall, wear a 10-12 in the top but 12-14 in the bottom (wider hips/bigger bum). What size would you recommend flattering yet comfortable fit? I tend to run into the issue of things not fitting around my bum or being too big around my top.

If you are across different sizes, we would recommend taking a size up in this piece. The dress is bias-cut, so falls beautifully with drape from the bust. In this case, we would suggest a size 12. If you would like to email us at info@ellislabel.com with your measurements, we are more than happy to check this for you.

  • Hi, I'm 167cm and just wondering where this dress would fall on me? Is it floor length or sit at the ankle / just above? Thanks, Ella x

The dress would fall to the ankles. As a good reference, our first model Sara in the main images of our Kirby dress is 165cm tall.

  • Hello! So I loooove this dress I genuinely dream about it - but I am a warm person with basically wool for hair (she thicc she curly), so I'm sending an email on the fabric and the breathability of it. I'd love to get your thoughts? Because again, BEAUTIFUL dress and would be perfect for summer (and literally every thing else)

Thank you for your question! Although the fabric used for this garment is mid-weight to hold its shape, we've ensured that the dress doesn't cling to the body and is 100% breathable for everyday wear. We'd recommend taking a size up to ensure the dress isn't too hugging on the body - It will most likely still fit you just perfectly, without the feeling of being too restricted/warm. Hope this makes sense!

  • Hey! Just wondering if you can custom make your dress (this one for example) in white or ivory? Same with the FREYA DRESS. Thank you : )

Yes absolutely. We're unable to customise this in white at the moment, but it is currently online in ivory here.

The Freya dress is also available to be customised in white or ivory 100% cotton.
